Teach it like a table

Doctrine

Seven teachings. Each one starts like a parable — a fence, an inn, a jar of pebbles. Then the house rule. Read them once. Then go do the practice.

No other name

God through Christ

A man collected pretty lamps from every roadside and called the bag his spirituality. None of them could get him home.

This house does not do vague light. Vague light is a customer experience. It will bless your appetites, your stones, your money, and your politics, and call the mixture 'authentic.' The gospel is ruder. It names a man, a cross, an empty tomb, and a command to turn around.

Christ is not useful. He is true. Usefulness follows, and it looks like a spine: vows kept, children formed, money told the truth, enemies prayed for, the poor fed without a camera. If your Jesus never costs you a sentence at a table, you have not met Him. You met a brand.

Going first under Christ is not a costume of dominance. It is the leak in the boat: first to repent, first to work, first to protect, first to die to the little kingdom of Me. Women and men both stand before the same Lord. Neither gets to outsource holiness to the other or to the feed.

Sunday is not a spa with a cross on the wall. Worship is owed. The peace that follows is a side effect of kneeling, not a product you can strip out and keep. Read Scripture aloud. Eat. Keep a day the market cannot rent. Then go back to the tools.

The fence post, not the speech

Softwar

Two neighbors argued over a line in the grass. One brought speeches. The other brought a post and a shovel. The post is still there.

Softwar is not a trading idea. It is the observation that until Bitcoin, the digital world was cheap to fake and therefore cheap to capture. Proof-of-work — the electricity bill — is the fence post. Energy and time become the cost of rewriting the story. That is a kind of strength that does not need a crater to keep score.

Jason Lowery's point, in kitchen words: watts settle what words cannot. Nations already understand push. They will not be talked out of this by a thread. They will study the power plants and the computers as roads and vaults. You can still treat it as a hobby. Briefing rooms do not.

The practical posture is unglamorous. Check. Keep your own copy of the record when you can. Do not outsource truth to a company's status page. Do not bring a poem to a storm. If a claim cannot attach sweat, reputation, or time, it is asking to be taken on credit.

This sits next to Christ and family, not in a casino chat. Power without virtue is just a bigger fist. Virtue without a body in the world is a sermon into the wind. A fence post is a body. Plant it.

The table that lasts

Family

A man flew a sincere flag from a house where nobody ate together. The flag was not a country. The table would have been.

Flags are downstream of tables. A dead table — screens, no prayer, no food made by a person, no unhurried talk — is not a family. It is a shared lease. Civilization is a copy of households that can keep a vow longer than a news cycle.

Do not rent out the raising. Schools and feeds will take the job in exchange for attention and taxes. They will not love them. Teach a trade, a prayer, a recipe, how to open the family's money if you are gone. Skill that cannot be switched off is part of love.

Marriage is a covenant, not a shop window you relaunch every spring. Children are souls, not accessories or apologies to the planet. Presence is the scarce thing. Your posts will not be remembered. Whether you looked up will.

Money sits inside this, not above it. A pile with no household is a high score. A household with no future is a museum. Inheritance is a key plus a story: secret words, a letter, a name, a church, a way of speaking when nobody is clapping.

Pressure and time

Crystals

A child wanted a diamond by shaking a jar. The mountain laughed, slowly.

A crystal is what the ground does when it refuses to rush. Heat, weight, time, and angles that will not lie. That is enough. You do not need to give it a job that belongs to the Holy Spirit. Creation is a witness. Christ is the Savior. Keep the order or you have a pretty idol.

Why keep stones in a house that also keeps keys? Because the feed is a river of paper boats and it hates your attention. A quartz point has mass. It does not ping. Objects that took longer to make than a slide are a vote against sludge. The same vote is a steel plate and a paper Bible.

Collect slowly. Name what you own. Skip the dyed pebbles and the warehouse wand. The ground already kept books no king can pad. Bitcoin noticed scarcity. It did not invent it.

Let the lattice teach the household. Atoms in a crystal do not take a vote about their feelings. That is why light can pass. Smash every rule for 'authenticity' and you get powder: in minerals, in money, in marriage.

Own the money

Bitcoin

A traveler left his gold with an innkeeper because the app was easy. The inn burned. The app still had a help desk.

If you cannot hold the secret words, you do not own the money. You have a login. Logins are how children and customers are managed. Adulthood is a spare key, a spouse who knows the rite, and a practice run before the fire.

The number on the screen is a slot machine in a suit. The real questions are dull: did you add, did you move it into keys you hold, did you refuse to gamble, did you write the letter. Printed money wants your attention twitching. Honest money wants a patience long enough to raise a child.

Privacy is not a crime. Handing a clerk your whole name is sometimes a lock on a door and often a list for strangers. Know what you revealed. Stop performing the pile. The loud saver is a marketing department. The quiet one is a household.

Giving belongs here. If the unit is honest, give in it. Pay children in it. Price your hours in it. A treasury that never leaves the vault is a hog. A treasury that never enters the vault is a fan club.

Hands, not talk

Counterparty

Keep the silver in a chest and the chisels in a shed. Do not plane boards over the silver. The shed is still useful.

Counterparty is a workshop on Bitcoin, running since 2014. Its own chit, XCP, was born by burning bitcoin on purpose — not by a fundraising tour. That origin still preaches: if you want a new page in the family book, let it cost something so spam is expensive.

What it is for, in a house: a named family token with a locked count; a box by the door that gifts rather than gambles; a share-out when there is surplus; a rare public line that belongs on a stone, not in a feed; a digital heirloom received into keys you hold. The tools have grown (fair mints, pools). Wisdom does not have to grow at the same speed.

Keep the chest and the shed separate. Life savings stay in simple bitcoin you hold. Counterparty lives in a small workshop wallet where mistakes are cheap. You learn to make, lock, send, and stop. You do not 'put the farm in the shed' because a thread was excited.

Culture already happened here — including ugly cards that survived a decade. Survival is data. If you collect, collect like a grown-up: keys you hold, a story on paper, nothing you would be ashamed to explain to a child. Pair it with a real mineral in a drawer. Earth and agreement. Both are slow. Both outlast a website.

Laugh, then work

Humor

A court jester who never cuts the king's costume is not a jester. He is furniture.

We replaced prophets with people who caption the obvious with 'few understand this.' The uniform is a ring light. The offering plate is your nerves. Laugh at it or it will ordain you.

The 2% haircut in a suit deserves mockery. So does an IOU with a fancy B, wellness as a second job, and 'spiritual but not religious' when it means hotel-minibar morals with better lighting. The point of the joke is not to be cruel to the wounded. It is to stop kneeling to a committee.

A house that cannot laugh will be ruled by people who cannot. Keep the blade clean: punch the costume, not the soul. Then go back to the table, the keys, and the work. Humor is a spice. It is not dinner.
